From reading the book, I learned that Stoicism was actually a shockingly advanced old philosophy that found many followers in ancient Rome. It was called “A Guide to the Good Life, The Ancient Art of Stoic Joy”. He also clearly leveraged some of the ideas from “A guide to the Good Life: the Ancient Art of Stoic Joy” that details negative visualization. I follow a few photo blogs and one I particularly enjoy is Eric Kim's blog. My interest in stoic philosophy was piqued with the reading of A Guide to the Good Life: The Ancient Art of Stoic Joy by William Irvine. A Guide to the Good Life: The Ancient Art of Stoic Joy.
